01 The Short Version

This website places no cookies that require your consent. We use no analytics, no advertising technology, no social media pixels and no tracking of any kind. We do not follow you across websites and we do not build profiles of our visitors.

That is why you are not asked to accept or refuse cookies when you arrive. Under European law a consent banner is required once a website places cookies that are not strictly necessary. Since we place none, showing such a banner would suggest something that is not happening.

02 What a Cookie Is

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. On a later visit the website can read that file again, which allows it to recognise your browser, remember a setting, or record that you have been there before.

Cookies are not harmful in themselves. What matters is what they are used for. A cookie that remembers your language choice is very different from a cookie that records which pages you read so that an advertising network can use it.

You can verify this yourself. In most browsers you open the developer tools, go to the storage or cookies section and select this website. The list for our own domain will be empty.

04 Third Party Services

Google Fonts

Our websites load their typefaces from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your IP address is transmitted to Google's servers so that the fonts can be delivered. No cookies are set in the process and no account information is exchanged. We intend to serve these typefaces from our own server in the future, which will remove that transmission entirely.

Hosting

Our websites are hosted by an external provider. Like any web server, it records standard technical information about each request, such as your IP address, the page requested and the time. These are server logs, not cookies, and nothing is stored on your device. They are kept for a short period and used only to keep the site secure and working.

Links and embedded content

Our pages may link to other websites, and in future may embed content such as video. Once you follow a link or interact with embedded content, that provider's own cookie policy applies. We have no control over cookies set by other parties on their own platforms.

05 If This Changes

We may decide at some point to add website statistics, so that we can understand which pages are useful to our visitors. Should we do so:

• A consent banner will appear before any such cookie is placed
• Refusing will be exactly as easy as accepting
• This page and our Privacy Policy will be updated first, with a new version number and date

06 Managing Cookies Yourself

You can view, block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Every major browser offers this under its privacy or security preferences, usually together with an option to refuse all third party cookies by default.

Because this website does not depend on cookies, blocking them will not affect how it works for you.
